You've got the education
and background, and you continue to develop your skills. But unless you know how to package these assets, few will be interested in looking beyond what they can see to find out what's inside! Employers are looking for─and hold onto─quality and excellence.

When the folks at the top
look for cuts that can be made without affecting the company's bottom line, they often turn  to the non-revenue producing positions first. Those who know how to visibly announce their value, who project a certain "something" that calls for favorable consideration, have an advantage over those who are perceived as not caring about matters of presentation and image.

Among the ways you gain the respect and attention you deserve, the way your present yourself is crucial. If image and etiquette have anything to do with getting a promotion, keeping your job, or commanding respect, you must be aware of the message you're sending every day!

In the work environment of today, every edge counts. What you do can obliterate who you are if you don't manage your impressions effectively.

Do they know you possess it?

How?

Image and behavior do open doors, but if there’s no substance once you’re inside, you’re busted. It’s not just about image. Image won’t make you trustworthy or reputable. Image alone won’t make you an indispensable representative of your company. The timeless life lessons that reinforce your worth will be discussed:

How the concept of “work ethic” has changed . . . or not

Why doing the right thing is more important than recognition

How R-E-S-P-E-C-T has taken a beating but is still the most powerful tool you can employ

Why “fake it ‘til you make it” isn’t bad advice—but must be followed up with the effort to develop your skills and knowledge
